Q + A

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
WHAT ABOUT DISCOUNTS?

After your 50% deposit has been paid, you can split up the remainder however you’d like as long as it’s all paid off by the day of your session. For products and additional digitals ordered at your reveal meeting, I offer payment plans up to 6 months (most with no interest)! Now! Here’s how you get a discount on your collection investment: refer a friend to also sign up for a session and sign a contract before the day of your session and I will give BOTH of you 30% off. Depending on your collection, you could save as much as $200 each!

HOW DO I BOOK?
IS THERE A DEPOSIT?

Let’s set things in stone! Reach out through the contact form to set up a phone call so that we can get to know each other a bit more and find the collection that is right for you. Already know that I’m your gal and know which collection you want to book? Just tell me which one you’re wanting when you reach out and we will go ahead and set up a date! I will then send you a booking link where you can electronically sign the contract and be prompted to pay the 50% non-refundable retainer. The remainder of your balance will be due on (or before if you choose) the day of your session.

WHAT ABOUT TANGIBLE PRODUCTS? WHAT IF I WANT MORE DIGITALS?

While none of the collections come with tangible items, you will have the opportunity to purchase goodies once your gallery is ready. You can spend as much or little as you would like of course, but most clients spend an average of $600 on products on top of their original session fee. I 100% recommend turning your digital photos into physical keepsake items by ordering prints, canvases, albums, etc. You will also have the option of purchasing additional high res digital downloads from your gallery.

DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO? WILL YOU COME TO MY HOUSE? IS A HOTEL ROOM AN OPTION?

I have a beautiful studio in downtown Athens, GA. Most of my sessions are done here, but I am certainly available to travel elsewhere. Some clients have a dream Airbnb in mind for their shoot and some prefer to be in the comfort of their own home. If you prefer to rent out a space, this expense will need to be covered by you.

What is a reveal meeting?

This is where we meet in person or virtually so that I can show you what we created together! You can come hang out in the studio again or I can come to your house if you’re local. Feel free to email me with a beverage or snack request if you want me to pick you up something to sip or snack on while we hang out. I will walk you through the gallery to show you what you can do and how to do it. We will talk about the best ways to display your photos and you can ask me any questions you may have about different products. By the way, I offer incentives for placing your order during this meeting, so come prepared!

I am nervous! What if I don’t have the confidence to follow through?

Who wouldn’t be a little nervous about getting nakey in front of a stranger and being photographed?! Almost every client that books me is nervous at the beginning and almost all of them say at the end how surprised they are at how fun & stress-free the shoot was. Try your best to not build it up too much. If you happen to drink and think that may help you loosen up, feel free to bring in your favorite cocktail or some wine (I’d advise against red because it’ll stain your teeth).

DO YOU RETOUCH THE PHOTOS? HOW MUCH EDITING DO YOU DO?

I adjust the overall photo to get the colors corrected, the highlight and shadows to my liking, etc. I do light skin smoothing that looks natural. If you have temporary spots/pimples/bruises that are not normally there, I will spot heal those out. However, I do not Photoshop your images to change your natural look. I will not edit to make you look thinner, etc. However, I will pose you and use lighting to create the most flattering looks. I want you to see your photos and know that is how I see you, not what I was able to do in Photoshop. Realizing your photos didn’t need extra editing is where the magic happens in your confidence! If you are absolutely set on me making extensive edits to make you look thicker, thinner, darker, lighter (etc), there will be an additional editing fee per photo.

is full nudity an option?what about if I don’t want to show a lot of skin?

You can wear as much or as little as you would like! It is not required that you come to your shoot knowing your exact comfort level. And I’ll never pressure you! There are many different options and styles for what to wear (or not to wear): nude, just a white sheet alluding to nude, lingerie, bodysuits, undies and your fav t-shirt, cardigans / kimonos, etc.

I Don't Know How To Pose! Will That Come Through In The Images? Do I need to practice?

I don’t expect you to know how to move your body or what poses look best! Just for reference, I don’t work with models! All of the photos you’ve seen are real clients just like you that had to prior experience! It is my job to coach you through the entire photo shoot including what expressions to make. I demonstrate the poses that I’d like you to get into, direct you on how to move, and assist you the whole way through.

How Should I Do My Hair & Make-Up? Who Do You Recommend?

I personally prefer when clients do their own hair & makeup because they can completely control the outcome and feel more like themselves. I advise you to stay away from fancy updos or amounts of makeup that you’d never ever normally wear. Remember that we will more than likely be in a bedroom type setting, so we want everything to mesh well together. It’s nice to focus a little more on the eyes or lips, rather than trying a super heavy smokey eye and a bold lip color. For hair, loose curls are always nice. Feel free to look at examples in my portfolio for ideas. If you know that you’re not great at doing hair & makeup, consider making an appointment (but give them the direction and advice above). For makeup, I recommend Carly McGuffey Salon. For hair, I recommend Washington Square Studio. Tell them I sent you!

I Don’t Want My Pictures Displayed Online. Is that okay?

I will not post your photos without your permission! You’ll more than likely end up with a few photos in your gallery that are close up and framed in a way that does not give away your identity. Being able to share even a few from your session is extremely helpful to my business and would be very much appreciated; however, your comfort and privacy is most important! You will have the option to select photos that I am able to share (if any) vs. photos that you do not want shared.

can I bring a friend to the shoot? what about to the reveal session?

You’re more than welcome to bring a friend to the reveal session. If we are meeting virtually, they can be included even from their own home. Sometimes it is helpful to have someone there to help assist in deciding on images and products. I do advise against bringing anyone to the shoot as it can be very distracting. If you’re absolutely set on bringing a friend (some people come from out of town and like the company while driving), I ask that the individual remains in the lounge of the building.
